| SAC OPENS SHOP ON THE EAST RAND |
| SAC Diesel has opened in Boksburg, bringing high quality servicing and conversions to the East Rand. | | The new outlet, number 11 in the SAC franchise chain, is a satellite store of SAC Diesel in Centurion, but will be equipped to offer a full range of services to diesel and turbodiesel passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and SUVs. | | To this end the new outlet has been fitted with a state-of-the-art Dastek 4x4 dynamometer, enabling accurate testing and tuning of all-wheel-drive vehicles to be carried out. | |  | |
A full array of test and diagnostic equipment has been purchased too, with a total equipment investment exceeding R750 000. |
An seven-man team, under the direction of manager/part owner Deon van Wyk, will run the 420 square metre facility at Unit 5, 4 Herman Pieterse Street in Boksburg. |
“We’re right in the heart of the East Rand’s motoring mecca, and we believe that there is a real need in the area for this kind of operation,” explains Van Wyk. “We’re not here to carry out quick ‘smash ‘n grab services’ and we’re aiming at providing a quality service to those who want something a little bit better for their car, commercial, or sports utility.” |

| SAC Diesel Boksburg will offer power upgrades on diesel engines (including modifications to electronic engine management systems) as well as servicing, diagnostic fault finding, and dyna tuning. |
| Repairs and maintenance of turbochargers and fuel injector – essential for diesel engine economy and longevity -- is another SAC Diesel core competency. |
| All SAC work is covered by a six month/20 000 km ‘Why Worry’ warranty. |
| With the SAC value system, the expertise available through the SAC Diesel main branch, and a ready market on the East Rand, SAC Diesel Boksburg looks set to be busy when they start trading on February 1, with the official opening scheduled for a month later. |
